Manual touch relieves pain and stress through the work done on the connective tissue, the fascia. Similar to the whitish membrane that envelops raw chicken, fascia envelop all of our organs, and are present everywhere in our body. They interfere in the relationship to the posture, in the motion coordination and in the postural tonicity.

Contrary to what we believed for a long time, this tissue is strictly connected to the nervous system and it’s able to react to physical shocks, as well as emotional one, through contraction.

The peculiarity of this manual therapy is that it is not invasive and completely painless. It’s also s very respectful, since the practitioner is constantly listening and the dosage of the touch is always in adequacy with what is perceived under, we stay in the sensory perception.

Issues are in your tissues

DANIS BOIS METHOD

Somatic Psychoeducation is a manual and gestural therapy of the fascia developed in the 1980s by DANIS BOIS, physiotherapist, osteopath and Doctor of Sciences. Since 2019 it has been recognized in Switzerland as a complementary therapy.

Located at the crossroads between life sciences and human and social sciences, Somatic Psychoeducation integrates recent data from biomedical research on FASCIA and defines itself as a patient-centered approach.

Many researches now support all concepts and practice of Fasciatherapy. The CERAP / UFP research unit has been conducting an evaluation of this method and its clinical applications for several years — sport, fibromyalgia, supportive care, stress, anxiety, low back pain, vascular, pelvi-perineology, etc.
